You are eloping to Gatlinburg to have an experience, not a production. Creating memories is your top priority, and adventure is non-negotiable. Every year, I help dozens of couples like this plan their Smoky Mountain elopements, and for so many of them, I recommend a Parkside Resort Pigeon Forge wedding.
What I love most about a Parkside Resort elopement for my couples is that you can have the mountain views and adventure of Gatlinburg while still having the comfort and convenience of a luxury resort experience. In this guide, I’m sharing more about the different venue spaces at the resort, what weddings here actually feel like, and answering some of the most common questions couples ask when planning a wedding or elopement here.

Why Couples Love Having a Parkside Resort Pigeon Forge Wedding
One of the biggest reasons couples choose Parkside Resort is because it allows everyone to slow down and actually enjoy the wedding weekend together. Instead of guests staying at separate hotels across town or driving between venues all day, everyone can stay on-site in cabins throughout the resort. That means more time spent together and less time worrying about logistics.

The atmosphere at this Gatlinburg resort wedding venue feels elevated without losing the relaxed mountain charm couples are usually searching for when planning a Smoky Mountain wedding. You get gorgeous scenery, plenty of lodging, multiple venue options, and easy access to some of the best portrait locations in East Tennessee.
Some of the perks that really stand out here are:
- A wedding weekend experience
- Lodging and venue options in one place
- Scenic mountain views
- Flexible indoor and outdoor wedding options
- Space for both intimate weddings and larger celebrations
- A destination wedding that still feels comfortable and easy for guests

The Wedding Venues at Parkside Resort
What I love about this Smoky Mountain resort venue is that no two weddings here are the same. Some couples want a quiet, intimate ceremony tucked into the mountains with just a few of their favorite people. While others want a full wedding weekend experience with cabins, celebrations, and time intentionally built in to be fully present. The resort gives you enough variety to create a wedding day that actually feels like your version of a Smoky Mountain wedding instead of forcing you into one specific style or experience.

Parkside Pavilion
The Pavilion offers a completely different feel from some of the more overlook-style venues here. Tucked into the woods, it feels private, relaxed, and incredibly intimate. Perfect for couples who want their wedding weekend to feel more connected and experience-driven. The surrounding lawn creates a fun, laid-back atmosphere for things like cocktail hour, rehearsal dinners, late-night dancing under the string lights, or outdoor games like cornhole and giant Jenga with your guests.

Sky View Pavilion
This is the venue MaKayla and Austin (the couple from this gallery) chose for their wedding day, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite spaces at Parkside Resort! The Sky View Pavilion has such a unique design because it gives couples the option to fully open up the space to the mountains or keep it enclosed depending on the weather and overall vibe they want for the day. The glass garage-style doors along the sides of the pavilion bring in so much natural light. And when the custom wood doors at the end are opened, you get the most beautiful view of the Smokies stretching above the tree line.
It’s the kind of space that feels elevated while still staying connected to the outdoors, which makes it perfect for couples wanting that balance of luxury and adventure. The pavilion can accommodate up to 70 guests and can easily transition from ceremony to reception, making it a great option for couples planning a more intimate wedding weekend experience in the mountains.

The Banquet Room
If you’re looking for an indoor wedding space without losing the cozy mountain feel, the Banquet Room at Parkside Resort is such a great option. This large cabin-style venue works beautifully for rehearsal dinners, receptions, or even smaller indoor celebrations, especially for couples planning a Smoky Mountain wedding during colder months or unpredictable weather seasons.

The space can accommodate up to 100 guests and was designed to make the wedding experience feel easy and comfortable from start to finish. It includes a built-in dance floor, private restrooms for your event, a bar area, refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, tables, linens, and several other amenities that help simplify the logistics of the day so you can focus more on being present with your people.

Mountain View Falls (Venue 1163)
This venue feels like stepping into a tucked-away corner of the Smokies. Surrounded by lush woods and mountain scenery, it has such an intimate and romantic atmosphere while still feeling elevated and thoughtfully designed. It’s easily one of the most picturesque ceremony locations at the resort and feels incredibly bonded to the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains.
It’s also the largest venue on the property, accommodating up to 80 guests, making it a great option for couples wanting a wedding that feels intimate without keeping the guest list extremely small. One thing that makes this space especially unique is that it’s the only venue on-site with a dedicated bridal suite, which adds so much convenience and ease to the wedding day experience.

Smoky Mountain Pavilion
If you’re wanting your wedding to feel more like a full weekend experience instead of just a single day, this venue was designed for exactly that. As one of the newest additions to Parkside Resort, the space allows couples to host their ceremony, reception, and even begin their honeymoon all in one place surrounded by the Smoky Mountains.
One of the biggest advantages of this setup is how easy it makes the entire weekend feel for both you and your guests. Between the nearby Smoky Mountain Lodge and Rocky Top Lodge, there’s enough space to accommodate your wedding party and loved ones with a combined total of 21 bedrooms and 19 bathrooms. It creates the kind of atmosphere where everyone can stay together, slow down, and fully experience the weekend instead of feeling scattered across multiple locations.

What It’s Actually Like to Get Married at Parkside Resort
One of the biggest differences between Parkside Resort and many other Pigeon Forge wedding venues is the overall experience. It doesn’t feel like guests are simply arriving for a ceremony and leaving afterward. Because everyone can stay nearby, the entire weekend feels more intentional.
Couples can host welcome dinners, spend mornings with family in the cabins, gather around fire pits at night, and create space for meaningful moments outside of the wedding timeline itself. For destination weddings especially, this kind of experience matters so much. Your wedding becomes more than a single event, it becomes a shared memory for everyone involved.

Frequently Asked Questions About Parkside Resort Pigeon Forge Weddings
How much does a Parkside Resort Pigeon Forge wedding cost?
Wedding pricing at this Gatlinburg resort wedding venue varies depending on the season, guest count, venue space, lodging needs, and overall wedding vision. Because there are multiple venue options throughout the resort, pricing can look very different for intimate weddings compared to larger celebrations. I always recommend reaching out directly to the resort for the most up-to-date package and venue information.

Can guests stay on-site at Parkside Resort?
Yes! This is one of the biggest reasons couples love getting married here. Guests can stay in cabins throughout the resort, which creates a much more connected wedding weekend experience. Instead of coordinating transportation between hotels and venues, everyone can stay nearby and fully enjoy the celebration together.

Is Parkside Resort good for destination weddings?
Absolutely. Parkside Resort works really well for destination weddings because it combines lodging, ceremony spaces, reception areas, and mountain scenery all in one place. Guests also have easy access to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, the national park, restaurants, and local attractions throughout the weekend.

What’s the best season for a Parkside Resort wedding?
There honestly isn’t a bad season for a Smoky Mountain wedding. It just depends on the experience you want.
Spring brings fresh greenery and wildflowers, summer offers long evenings and vibrant mountain views, fall is known for colorful foliage, and winter creates a quieter, more intimate atmosphere with soft mountain tones and cozy cabin vibes. Want a full break down?

Yes. While the resort can absolutely host larger weddings, it also works beautifully for intimate celebrations and smaller wedding weekends. Many couples love the balance of having mountain scenery and privacy while still offering comfortable accommodations for guests.

Where should you take wedding photos near Parkside Resort?
Foothills Parkway is one of my favorite portrait locations near the resort because of the incredible mountain views and easy accessibility. There are also beautiful areas throughout the resort itself, nearby scenic roads, overlooks, wooded areas, and locations throughout Gatlinburg and the Smokies depending on the kind of scenery you want for your Gatlinburg elopement photos.
