There are a lot of wedding venues in Gatlinburg TN, so it can be difficult to know which one is the right fit for you. As a Gatlinburg elopement photographer I have been to countless venues and have come to love so many of them for the amenities and unique features they have. Here are my favorite venues in the Smokies to help you get started on your elopement planning!

Smoky Mountain National Park

This isn’t so much a “venue” as it is a ceremony location. But because I love adventurous elopements and am always bringing my couples into the National Park, I just have to highlight some of my favorite elopement ceremony spots!

Foothills Parkway

This is a fan favorite, and one of my personal favorites! The Foothills Parkway has endless views of the Smokies with 33 miles of parkway to explore. In addition that are dozens of locations right off the road to pull over for a photo opt! Typically my couples will say their vows and be married on an outlook, and then we spend sometime on the parkway for photos.

Cades Cove

To get to Cades Cove you will need to enter into the one way driving loop, so plan extra time just in case there is traffic. I love this spot because of the intimate feeling of the valley as it is surrounding by tree-lines and mountain peeks. There are also fields, creeks, forests and wildlife to add interest to your backdrops.

Greenbrier

This ceremony location is on the northern side of the National Park. There are two wedding locations in Greenbrier both with dramatic forest backdrops and access to the water. If you are wanting more adventurous elopement photos as you elope to Gatlinburg, then consider taking a dip into the river and exploring the nearby woods!

Now that I shared my top three favorite locations within the Smoky Mountain National Park for elopements, I can get to actual venues within Gatlinburg and the surrounding Smoky Mountain towns. Each of these venues are ones that I have photographed at before and would recommend.

Harper’s Vineyard

Starting off strong with my absolute favorite, Harper’s Vineyard! Nestled in the Smoky Mountains in a town called Townsend you will find this family-owned wedding venue with an operating vineyard. I absolutely adore this venue for it’s views, unique designs and exceptional service! This venue can be used for a more traditional wedding, as well as an elopement on select dates.

Embrace a woodland wedding with waterfalls and hikes at Ely’s Mill. There are several sites along a creek to choose from for your ceremony. Each with lush wooded backdrops and access to the water for waterfall elopement photos! There is also a pavilion option with seats up to 20 guests for your elopement, making it easy to host a small ceremony.
